Quite by accident today I found the number of a woman who resides in Mobile that provides midwifery services. Midwifery, however is illeagal in Alabama, so in that case she provides doula services.
We had a good chat, and even if she cannot attend my birth she put me in touch with other people with like minds so that I can maybe meet people and have a social life.....
Alabama is certainly not as progressive when it comes to childbirthing options, nursing and cloth diapers as well as general naturopathy......
If I could have it my way, I'd have our little lady at home in the bathtub....probably be ten times safer than having her in a hospital anyway....

Lavender: My latest form of crack
With nesting in full swing....and me in my 27th week, I am completely passionate and obsessed with....
LAVENDER.
Not so much the color, but the smell. I want to use it everywhere. In my laundry detergent, my body wash, as a room diffuser...you name it.
Most likely I will be sickened by this smell after my pregnancy, but for now.....it's my crack.
Going home in 13 days for baby showers and family greetings. I simply can't wait!!!!
Grant says I'm starting to look pregnant. I saw a picture of myself naked. I was horrified.
I want my body back! :)
