Quite by accident today I found the number of a woman who resides in Mobile that provides midwifery services. Midwifery, however is illeagal in Alabama, so in that case she provides doula services.
We had a good chat, and even if she cannot attend my birth she put me in touch with other people with like minds so that I can maybe meet people and have a social life.....
Alabama is certainly not as progressive when it comes to childbirthing options, nursing and cloth diapers as well as general naturopathy......
If I could have it my way, I'd have our little lady at home in the bathtub....probably be ten times safer than having her in a hospital anyway....

Wouldn't you just love to be home to have your baby. I have always thought that. Good luck you are getting closer! This is the real test to your patience.
